This section allows the analysis of the behaviour of the platform that hosts your web application,in heavy traffic conditions. To access it, go to the left-hand menu, then Load tests.
Performing a Load Test (or "LT" for short) consists of launching, directly from Quanta, a large number of web browsers in parallel and having them interact with a website in order to voluntarily "stress" the platform and the web application.
With just a few clicks, it is therefore possible to reproduce the conditions of a day of very large attendance in order to voluntarily analyse the behaviour of the site under these conditions.
Depending on the need, a LT can meet 3 main objectives :
Example of conclusion: "During the LT carried out on the myWebsite.com production site, we noted that 1,450 page views/minute were reached before the user experience was degraded, the equivalent of 43,500 unique visitors per hour. Comparing this data with the site's Google Analytics history, we can see that the LT exceeded the last peak traffic of the January sales by a factor of x4.5 in a comfortable browsing context."
Sample conclusion: "It can be seen that the add-to-cart function and the delivery selection are the steps that will increase in time the fastest. Shortly before the break, they reach respectively 18 and 34 seconds of average loading time. Optimising them would save resources and increase capacity."
Example conclusion: "Close to reaching the limit, several 503 errors (internal server error) were detected on the webservices MySiteEcommerce.com/reloadBasket.php rendering the display of the shopping cart inoperative in the Internet user's browser, a few minutes later the delivery selection had [...]."
